Date of the Elections.
_*. _ It is understood that the general election writs will be issued this
wee k — probably on Wednesday or Thursday. According to law, seven days must elapse between the iseuo of tha writs acd the nomination of candidates, while another period of equal length must intervene between nomination and election. The date of the elections will therefore be either Wednesday, 6 b, or Thursday, 7th December next.— N. 2. Times*
