SOME ITEMS. Amongst the horses Mr Goodison's St. Cyr took the championship in the thoroughbred stallion class. Mr H. McDonald's Rob Roy was first in draught stallions over four years. Mr W. Bramleygot third place with bis pony mare in foal with " Dot." Mr J. x Riddiford's pony Foxton was first for under 14 hands, and was second in the leaping competition. Bett, of Palmer ston, secured first for double-seatec buggy, single phaeton, dog cart, gig Bradley gig* spring cart, and express besides taking seconds and "ccrri mended with additional entries of th< same class. The Czar, Mr J. Pringle's coaching stallion, secured first place agains 1 three other entries. Mr Delmer was second in the wood chopping contest.
