Fighting in the Philippines.

Hostilities are still frequent in the Philippines between the United States troops and the natives. * Word has been received that the American forces recently defeated 1200 Filipinos at San Jacinto, killing eighty of their number and wounding 220. Major Logan and six Americans were killed twelve being wounded. The United States second-class cruiser Charleston 3740 tons has been totally wrecked on the coast of Luzon, the principal island in the Philippine group.
