Foxton Cycling Club.

A general meeting of the above was held at Victoria Hall, on Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock.

A fair number of members turned '" up, and the vice-president (Mr A. Fraser), occupied the chair.

It was proposed by Mr P. Hennessy, seconded by Mr A. Stansell, That this meeting be recognised as the annual general meeting of the Foxton Cycling Club, and that the annual meeting be held on or about the third Tuesday in October of each year. Carried. The report and balance-sheet were read and adopted, on the motion of Mr Mitchell, seconded by Mr Hennessy. Proposed by Mr Hennessy, seconded by Mr A. Stansell, That the secretary be voted an honorarium of £3. Carried.

The election of officers resulted as follows : — Patron, Frank Robinson, Esq. ; President, John Stevens, Esq., M.H.R. ; Vice-president, A. Fraser, Esq., Mayor (re-elected) ; Captain, Mr A. Stansell; Vice-captain, Mr R. T. Betty. The election of a secretary was held over till a future meeting.

Committee : — Messrs W. MacDermott, H. Austin, P. Hennessy, J. F. Overend and Theo. J. Mitchell. Hearty votes of thanks were passed to the outgoing officers for their past services, and a vote of thanks to Mr Mitchell for use of hall, and a vote of thanks to Mr Fraser for presiding, terminated the meeting.
