The Steele-Payne Bellringers.
This clever combination will pay a farewell visit to Foxton to-morrow (Wednesday) night, when they will appear in a new programme, and a crowded attendance will certainly greet them as usual. Since their last visit here three months ago, they have toured throughout the North Island, and played a most successful season in Auckland, gaining fresh laurels and attendances everywhere. It is useless to recapitulate upon the merits of this excellent combination, as their name is a household word throughout New Zealand. The New Zealand Herald, Auckland, says as follows: — "The programme brought pleasant recollections of the old Payne Family who delighted every New Zealand audience before whom they appeared, and of the present company it can safely be said it is better than ever, and that the high standard of excellence was maintained throughout the entire entartainment." The company have just concluded a successful season at Napier and elsewhere, where they were greeted with crowded and enthusiastic audiences.
We would advise attending early to secure a seat.
