Wanganui Education Board.
The regular meeting of the above was held on Monday, Present— Messrs G. S. Bridge (chairman), Lethbridge, Baker, Sanson, Spurdle, Adams and Pirani.
The new regulations were considered and it was decided to oppose the abolition of Inspectors' passes and suggest the adoption of the Collegestreet Committee's recommendation re allowing a pass for a lower standard when a pupil has failed for a higher one.
Longburn. — Miss Voss transferred from Foxton.
Foxton. — Miss McKenna to be paid for sick leave. Miss Wallace, pupil teacher, to be transferred from Longburn.
Leave. — Leave of absence to attend examinations was granted to a number of teachers.
Carnarvon — Committee's recom mendation re teacher agreed to.
