The Row on the Tolosa.
• GRANT SENTENCED.
The man named Thomas Grant, who had previously pleaded guilty to a charge of assaulting the chief engineer of the s.s. Tolosa, appeared before Mr W. B. Haseldea, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court yesterday morning. The Magistrate said that as defendant had been in jail sinoe the 2nd of September, he would only sentence him to seven days' bard labour. HATZAKIS COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. The hearing of the charges of attempted murder against Conatan* tine Hatzaki* was then proceed with. B'inally the accused was committed for trial at the next sitting of the Supreme Court. Bail was allowed, himself in one surety of £300, and two sureties of £150 each or tbree sureties of £100 each. — N.Z. Times. __________
