The Rangitikei Racing dob's Spring Meeting was held yesterday in fine There was a good attendance. Spring Handicap, of no soys; i| miles. — Bush Rose, gst alb, 1 ; Worry, 6st'iolb, 2 ; Rubin, Bst nib, 3. Light was the only other starter. Worry led to the distance, when Bush Rose took command and won comfortably by half a length, Rubin a good third. Time, amin ifisec. Dividend, £t 17s. Rangitikei Steeplechase, of go soys; about z\ miles. — Whangaroa, list 131 b, 1 ; Tally- Ho, lost iolb, 2; Hangfire, ust 2lb, 3. Also started— Dundonald, Kauri Gum, St. Lemon, and Whakama. , St. Lemon jumped away with the lead, followed by TallyHo, Kauri Gum, Dundonald, Scott's pair racing together behind. At the
stonewall Kauri Glim stopped, and was riot persevered with. St. Lemon Won at the finish with ridiculous ease, but was disqualified for jumping inside a flag, and the race was awarded to Whangaroa, who finished seVeraJ. iengths iri front of Tally-Ho.
