Severe thunderstorms are reported from different parts of the United Kingdon. Io the south of Ireland, a dtfcach. ment of soldiers, belong to -.the Cheshire Regiment, were Btruck by lightning when on the march from Limerick to Thurles. Nine men suffered from the effects, and one of of the sergeants had his legit paralysed. All of tlje v Tnja-fed men, are, however, recovering. At Llandudno, a well-know oaa* side resort in North Walef, a pier was set on fire by lightning.
