" The White Man's Burden."
Mr Budyard Kipling has recently been telling the people of America, in a series <A magnificent verses, what " The White Man's Burden " is. He show 3 the responnibility which has been thrown on on their shoulders by recent conquests, and in soul-stirring cadences, bids them "Take up the White Man's Burden," Whist these verses are addressed to the Americans in particu'ar, there is another " White Man's Burden " of far more universal character, namely, that particularly sensitive organ, the liver. This great o> € gan U the regulator, of our j bodi'y health. If impaired, other organs | such as the kidneys, become affected, and ill-heath results. And such was the experence of Mr J. Waller, of 82 York Street, South Melbourne. His story of suffering for years from long-standing liver complaint, and subsequent cure by Bile Beans, was narrated to a representative of the tiporlaman an follows :- - " I am glad," he began, "to give my ( testimony as to the vary gnat value of Bile Beans. After five years intense suffering from liver and kidney disease, Bile Beans have cured and made a new ; man of me. It is; in fact, over rive yeers ! sinca I first began to f el bad could cot < properly digest my food at times, and, on other occasions, wou d suffer from too much bile, and endure agony. Doctors said it was tie liver. I tried various remed'us, but without benefit, and gradual y got worse, could sc rcely look at food, lost flesh, and became a miserab'e wreck of humanity. Two years ago the complaint was aggravated by kidiney trouble*, with touches of rheumatism. You can scarcely imagine how I suffered. I became gloomy and mor se. The word ' seemed back to me, and I did not care ' whether I livid or died. Hearing so much . about Bi c Beans, and kn wing people who had benefited by them, I deoided to give them a trial, and did so. The effect was immediate and pleasantly surprising. Two boxps made me feel a very different man. I continued to take thorn, and am now, as you see, cured, all the credit being due to Bile Beans. I can now quite understand how that medicine works its cures, for it must act on the liver and bile. [ hope others wi 1 benefit by my experience."
