ADJUSTING THE FINANCES.
At the meeting of the Wanganui Education Board on Monday, it was decided to make the following reductions, to take effect after 30th Sep-^.. tember next : — . Abolishing pamyent- for pupilteachers' and cadets' instruction, making a saving of £bia per annum. Truant Inspectors to be abolished after 30th September, saving £350 per annum. Aided schools payment to be reduced by 25 per cent after 30th September.^, This reduction was opposed by Messrs Spurdle, Pirani and Lethbridge.
