— . — « . China. The British troops which were ordered to Eaulung yesterday have now taken possession of the town. The Welsh Fusiliers and detach ment of volunteers, who took with them a couple of cannon, are in occupation of Kaulung, which is situated in the territory ceded to Great Britain. While British action has beon taken to enforce concessions already granted in the south, disturbances have occurred within the German " leasehold " of the province of Shantung, in the north. Several outrages of a vile character have been perpetrated by the Chinese. Four Roman Catholics connected with the missions in this province have been murdered, and eighteen Catholics churches destroyed. It is stated that Chinese troops participated in the disturbances.
