A Marvellous Exhibition.

RONTGEN'S X RAYS.

The Rontgen X Rays and the 1898 Model American-Spanish War Kinematographe, which has just concluded a three month's season at the Opera House and Auckland Exhibition, will appeir at the Public Hall, Foxton, on Monday night, March 27th. The Auckland Star says :— The Rontgen X Rays and the 1898 Model Kinematographe, which Mr John Budd has brought from America, furnishes one of the most marvellous entertainments ever given in a place of amusement. The effects obtained were something to marvel at. Mr John J. Budd gave the most successful exhibition ever given in Auckland. The Hawera Post of March 9th speaking of the exhibition, says : —The Kinematographe was one of the best ever shown in Hawera, somewhere about 60 animated pictures being shown, and prolonged applause was frequent. The feature of Mr Budd's kinematographe was the absence of the bright flashes which proves so trying to the eyes. The pictures were very distinct. Mr Chas. E. Mackie also exhibited Rontgen's X Rays, with the aid of which the bones of the human hand and arm could be distinctly seen through the bottom ofa box.

When this wonderful invention was at Stratford Mr Mackie radiographed Mr Rapley's, the postmaster's hand,

which showed that seventeen leaden shots were embedded in it, Mr Rapley having met with a gun accident some time ago. We may mention that Mr Mackie's services have been availed of by the medical men in Auckland about 300 times, with most successful results. Record attendances have been the rule everywhere, ifid it goes witbout saying that the season in Foxton will prove equally successful on Monday night next at Foxton. This marvellous exhibition will also appear at Shannon the night following, and at Levin on Wednesday, the 29th.
