A more perfect day f>r a trcnic could not be desired than yesterday, and the friends of the Methodist Church who went up the •iver had a very (-njoyable tiop indeed. With a g>od boat »nd good officers, the river in perfect itder, and bright; sunshine, w h just enough wind to k^ep one co >l, v was an ideal way of spending a holiday. Thes.s "Flower of Ken " 9 earned up to the head of L ng Reach in fine tima, and passengers were quickly landed and the billy boiled *nd dinner was ready, and everybody .VA3 ready for it. The trip on tie river is a fine tonic. After dinn r were indulged in and some of he young folks went gi'h 'Hi g ferns. \ start was made for horn- 1 by 4 80. Che passage down tha river was aost pdj >yable a3 a nurnl er of S'nkpy'a hymn 3 were sung, ard the rapid travailing madr cv rybnriy very hippy. It wag voted/a p!^a>-a t day 1 a all rfcspects, and a wi-l ] waß expressed by many 0 hive a; other such picnic very soon.
