These Races were held yesterday at Levin, and the day was all that could be desired. The attendance did not come up to expectation as the trains from Wellington and Palmerston only brought a few. Mr Ames worked the totalisator and the sum of about £1900 was put through. The racing was good, but the Stewards held an inquiry which resulted in nothing. Following are the results : — Trial Handicap. — Tutua, 1 ; Vinetta, 2; RjUdini, 3. Time imin 2 3-5 sec. Div., £4 16s. Maiden hurdles. — Wooloomooloo, i ; Rongotea, 2 ; Puanga. 3. Time 3mm 3 4-5 sec. Div., £2 4s. Horowhemua Cup.— Mainboom, 1 ; Lady Spec, 2; Stockade, 3. Time 2min 12 sec. Div., £j 12s. Handicap Hurdles.—Wooloomooloo, 1; Robin Hood, 2; Puanga, 3. Time 3mm. Div., £2 10s. Flying Haneicap.— Kaimai, 1; Vinetta, z : Missguard, 3 Time imih 21 sec. Div., £7, Bs. Steward's Staker. -Nayborn, 1 ; Lady Spec, 2 ; Mainboom, 3. Time imin 52 3-5 sec. Div. £20 2s. Electric Handicap.— Kaimai, 1; Rimlock, 2; Rudini, 3. Div., £1 16s.
