• + The ordinary monthly meeting was held at the Library Buildings lastSnf night at 7.30. : ■ Present— Hi9 Worship the Mayor (Cr. Alf Fraser), and Crs P. Henneasy, W. B. Rhodes, A. S. Easton, W. Purcell and J. W. Walsh. . The minutes of the last nieeting were read and confirmed. The correspondence (inward and outward), was read. Proposed by the Mayor, seconded by Cr Purcell, That the name of John R. Russell asowner of sub-section 86, be removed, and that of Mary Spelman sub* stituted, and that the name of J. A. Perreau be removed as owner of Patt sections 158 and 159, and that of E. Ann Williams substituted. Carried. . Proposed by the Mayor, seconded by Cr Easton, That this Council vote the sum of £6 6s to Mr F. Purnell for work done in connection with transfer of the Beach Road, and kind assistance with Wirokino Bridge. CaJ^ie,d. Proposed by the Mayor, seeoßcJed by Cr Rhodes-, That Thos. Chamberlain be informed of general complaints re lamp lighting, and to intimate that unless he carries out his contract properly, the Council willl cancel same, and call for fresh tenders. Carried. Twohig's keep, and notice given that this Council cannot pay further, as he is now in receipt of an old age pension. Carried.
