Struck by Lightning.
* __ DEATH OF A MAO AND HORSE. During a heavy thunderstorm, which occurred at Blenheim on Wednesday afternoon, a man named C. Goti and a horse he # was riding were killed by lightning. A resident of Renwickton found the bodies on the river bed a short distance from that place. Goff was considerably blackened and burnt. Another horse, which deceased had been leading, was standing by, paralysed in the hindquarters. Goff was a farm labourer, 29 years of age, and leaves a widow and four
children. . The storm was the heaviest known at Renwicktown, some of the flashes being dazzling.— Press Association.
