The Greenwood Musical and Comedy Company.

4 The above named company inaugurate their season in this town with their brilliant and intensely amusing burlesque " A Cup of Cold Poison," or ' Romeo and Julfet up to date. Wherever they have appeared in this production packed houses, enthusiastic audiences, and most flattering criticisms from the press have been the result. Indeed the press usually wax enthusiastic over the lovely voices and beautiful singing and acting of the Misses Greenwood. In this production Miss Agatha Greenwood pourtrays the love-sick Romeo, who unlike the Shakesperian Romeo, pours forth his -love in tuneful singing and pretty dancing. Miss Greenwood plays Mercutio, and when she is killed by Tybalt, dies like the swan — singing. Miss Nora Greenwood plays Juliet, a young lady in pinafores, and Mr Bob Greenwood as the apothecarvi together with Mr Lambert as the nurse, are responsible for a great deal of dancing and singing. Songs introduced during the evening will be the grand scena from 11 Lurline " by Miss Maribel Greenwood ; the Patti waltz song, and " As pretty as a picture," by Miss Agatha Greenwood ; " The Flight of Ages," by Miss Roberta Greenwood; "A little peach," by little Charley Williams, and " His uncle Bob," besides several duets, choruses, &c. The burlesque is full of "go " from start to finish, and aided as it is by superb dressing and appropriate scenery, should not fail to be -delightful. Romeo, in white and scarlet, richly jewelled girdle and finishings ; Mercutio, in blue and silver, and other dresses to match, makes always a regal picture ; the long, lean apothecary, and short, fat nurse form a most comical contrast to the superbly •dressed characters, and we sincerely hope to see the Greenwood Co. greeted by bumper houses. On Tuesday evening the sparkling comedy " The Child of the Regiment " will be staged. In this piece Miss Agatha Greenwood plays Josephine and many charming songs will be introduced.
