The Austrian Influx.
PROBABLE PROCEEDINGS AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT. L?gal proceedings will probably be taken against the Government in connection with the detention cf the two Austrians who arrived by the Waihora at Auckland on Tuesday, j iince their arrival the Austrians have taken legal advice on the question, and it is understood they Jiave been advised to proceed promptly against the Government for false imprisonment. The men j fcave not yet decided if they will take . any action, but should they decide j fa go into Court they will have no j difficulty, it is slated, in procuring j Ifgal assistance in the conduct of the j Cafe. ! - Nothing further has transpired , with reference to the attitude of the Government on the question, and no reply baa yet beon received to the communication sent by the Austrian Consul in Auckland to Vienna.
