The Tichborne Case
Edward Priestman, who has taken ; a leading part in the effort to re. open \ the Tichborne case, writes to tho : Sydney Press in reference to Leclerc's : statement. ; He says Leclere told him whilo. '■■ Tichborne was staying at Laclerc's ■ hut that he revealed to Leclere much of his former life. He showed him \ some of Tichborne's jewels and oih j r : relics. Priestman also points out that in 1859 Tichborne, stayed with : Leclere, while in 1865 a headless ; trunk supposed to be that of Tich- i home, was found. ] He claims it was Willian Cress- 1 well, a confinee in Parramatta | Asylum, otherwise Roger Tichborne j who stayed with L?clerc. He also | alleges the facts came to his knowledge last year that Cres&well knew a man had been murdered in mistake for himself. !
