The Queensland Murders.
Burgess, prior to his arrest for th< murder of the Murphys, told a numbei of settlers that he knew the Murphy; well; that the girls got what they de served and the elder one was a grea i flirt. Another man has been arrested a ' Bundaberg, disguised as a swagman He behaved suspiciously and denied but subsequently admitted, the owner ship of a revolver found hidden in i tank. The charge of murder perferrec against Burgess has been withdrawi and one of theft substituted. Much confusion exists about th< arrests made. It is now stated tha' the man apprehended at Bundaberg i was arrested in connection with tht , murder of young Hill, the fifteen-year old boy who was shot near Nundah. It is further believed here that tht man wanted for the Ipswich crimes (who is supposed to have left for Nata had no hand in Hill's death. The man Wilson, wanted on sus 1 picion of having committed certair ', offences at Ipswich, and also suspected \ in the Hill case, has also been arrested
