The Congo Free State.
DEFEAT OF BELGIUM TROOPS.
News has been received that 600 Belgium troops, under Commander Door ma and ex-Major Lothaire, suffered a severe defeat at the hands of the natives of Mongalla River country, in the Congo Free State. It is stated that Leopold, King of Belgium, has received a million pounds yearly, the proceeds of rubiep and ivory, from the Congo.
