A Flower Service.
An exceedingly pretty oustom has been introduced into the district by the Rev. Mr Matthews, of Bulls. This consists in what is known as a flower service. In cities, it appears, where these services are held it is uinal for all the congregation to bring tbeir gifts of flowers to Church. These are laid on the altar and at the conclusion of the service the children take the flowers and walk in procession to the cemetery where the floral gifts are laid upon the most neglected graves. Sunday before last & flower service was held at Sanson, but as the cemetery is a long distance from the township, the beantiful flowers whioh had been contributed were sent to the Palmer. ilon Hospital. Oo Sunday last a •similar service was held at Bulla and at its conclusion, the flowers were taken to the Clifton cemetery and. placed upon the graves. The congregation entered heartily into the proposal in both Churches and att enormous and splendid collection of flowers was the result. — Advoca'e
