Many thousands o! people, including the most distinguished leaders of science and letters and professional men, are signing a protest against the court martial of Co'ouel Picquart for forgery at the order of General Zurlinden, Military Governor of Paris. The workers are indifferent. It is believed that the Government will refuse to interfere between, the military and judicial authorities, but that, nevertheless, there will be a postponement of the court martia' until the verdict of the Court of Cassation in regard to the revision of Captain Droyfus' case has been declared. Captain Dreyfus has cabled to bis wife that he rejoiced with hie friends over the latest development of the case, and that his health and spirits are good.
