* The Turkish troops have left the island. ' , The Snltan of Turkey has accepted P.ince George of Greece as Governor, since he is a relation and friend of the Emperor of Germany. Roar- Admiral Noel, commanding tha British fleet in Cretan waters, owing to the absence of Ottoman transports, directed the Turkish troops formiug the garrison at Candia to embark in the British transports. Before the embarkation was completed the Turkish officer counter manded Admiral Noel's order. Ad ra bat Noel thereupon ordered the British marines and troops to surround the garrison, and threatened to compel them to embark. The Turkish officials perforce obeyed, and marched their troop 3on board. Detachments of marines supplied by the Admirals of the foreign fleets ha?e occupied the Cretan forts.
