Roll Stuffing.

The coming Mayoral election is evidently going to be a great fight, and the preliminary preparations were very much in evidence at last night's meeting of the Council, when the transfers of portions of land were made to many members of a family. We have never witnessed a more wholesale stuffing of the Rate Roll, and we give the resolution dealing with it all prominence : —
