The nephew of General Gordon, who is accompanying the British forces, exploded with a shell the tomb of the Mahdi at Omdurman, i and destroyed the body. The skull ofthe Mahdi, whioh was recovered from the tomb when it was blown up, has been forwarded to the London College of Surgeons.
