EGYPT. A Reuter's despatch says that the British gunboats have passed the fifth cataract, while a flotilla of 10 steamers with quick firing guns are able to cruise as far as the Shabluka Cataract. Supplies for the Anglo Egyptian army in the Soudan sufficient for 90 days have been concentrated on the Atbara river, which is rapidly rising.
