The letters after the teacher's name show how the promotion has beenobtained, viz. — E ; examination; S, service ; M, Inspector's marks. E.I. Mrs Meliisb, M; D.2 Mr James Nairn, S.M ; D 3 Mr J. R. Nairn, M ; E.S Mr S. D McCosb, M ; E.B Misa Phyn, S.M ; D.4 MissM.K. Sisely, M ; E.B Mr W. P. Stansell S.M ; E. 4Mr A. 0. Buchler, M ; E 4 Miss Annie Garter M. At the last meeting of the Board some pupil teachers were rei appointed as first class pupil teachers among whom was H. Lyall of Hawera, who has since been trans* ported to Mangaweka.
