A SPANISH REVERSE.
Three thousand Spanish and native troops under General Monet, while advancing to the relief of Manila, were ambushed in the jungle, 80 miles from the capital. General Monet was killed, and the native troops immediately deserted. Five hundred of the Spaniards surrendered.
