UNPREPARED FOR WAR.

Mr Alger, Secretary for War, has been informed by General Miles (Commander-in-chief) that the preparations for the invasion of Cuba are still incomplete. The General states that more expedition is re quired in equipping the army. A large percentage of the men are without guns, and others are without ordinary dress. It is announced tnat the war has already coat £62,000,000. President McKinley is reviewing the troops massed in Florida.
