AN AMERICAN RAILWAY MAGNATE'S OPINION.
At an interview with a representative of Reuter's agency, Chauncey Depew, an American railway magnate, expressed the opinion that the threat by Britan to join America in resisting any forcible intervention by the Powers to end the war with Spain, proved of incalculable advantage. The threat had paved the way for a stronger arbitra* tion treaty between England and America than the one rejected some time ago.
