Hospital and Charitable Aid Board.

The usual monthly meeting of the above Board was held at the Secretary's office, Palmerston, at noon on Thursday. Present — Messrs Park (chairman), Lethbridge, Booth, Aisher, Bailey, Kendall, Hammond, W. Taylor, Ravenhill and T. R. Taylor. The following correspondence was read : — From the Rev. R. Young, applying for assistance towards sending a young man named Saville, of Foxton, to Dunedin for treatment by a brain specialist. — Action rf the Secretary in furnishing Saville with a passage to Dunedin was confirmed. From the Foxton Borough Council, enclosing a cheque for £31 7s gd, amount -of levy for .the current year. From the same, forwarding 10s 3d on account of maintenance of D. Twohey. From the same, asking for the balance due to the Borough, £20 3s 4d for relief expenditure. Other business was transacted and the Board adjourned after accounts amounting to £283 i3s 4d were passed for payment.
