♦ The following letter appeared iv »,»«. Correspondence columns of the Pat merston " Standard " on Friday last : «-" Sir>— ln the War Cry of the sth Instant mentioning the charge against ■•. me of perjury in a way that if they £s*knew the facts of the case they would have passed reflections ot sympathy with me in the mistake made by me in Regard to a receipt given to me in 1872, aha a duplicate copy made in 1882, 1 swore the latter was the former. They were both written by me and did not affect my title to the land in dispute on the 7th December, 1892. I made a declaration on the Bth December, 1897, that I had made a mistake not having seen either for 20 and 14 years. My declaration was not presented to either Judge or jury, and I have not been heard hi my defence, or given any evidence. I am taking steps to have my own reputation cleared up.— Yours &c, Amos. Burr."
