Easy to Make and Easy to Spoil.
' It is well to remember, according to Good Housekeeping; that a baked custard is ono of the easiest things to make and one of the easiest to spoil in baking— if left to its own devices. It must be made i _^ of fresh materials, and bakes better in a """SEaHow dish than in a deep one. The dish containing it should be placed in a shallow tin dish holding hot water, and i the oven must be moderate. Watch it, and just as soon as the blade of a knife comes ' out clean when you try it take it out. If you leave it longer, it will be watery.
