The Police Commission.
ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS. The following provisions have also bsen inserted in the charter of the commission : — Thai; it shall hold do enquiry into any matter or thing which has alrsady been investigated and determined before any judicial « or other lawfully constituted t/ibunal, or where any member of the police f .rco baa been dismissed from the service, or whose services have been dispensed with in consequence of his misconduct or for any other reaioto.
Provided also that if any allegation or statement is made which relates to or affects the personal conduct 0! an individual member or members of the said police force, the commission shall not enter upon anj enquiry in respect thereof until the parson so affected has had at least twenty.four hours' notice in writing of such allegation or statement, giv'ng such particulars of time, place, and circumstances thereof as shall be deemed sufficient; full opportunity being afforded to anj such person to cross examine anj witness giving evidence against him, and to call any evidence in replj which he may think fit.
