The Japanese Fleet.
Ik it stated that Japan is not onl* building more ships than any othe Power except England, bat that she is bvilding better ships in English shipsyards than England herself is constructing fur her own navy. She is now building in European and American shipyards four battleships, four firßt-clasa armoured cruisers, three protected cruisers, eight tor pad o- boat destroyers, twelve torpedoboats; and at Yokosuka in Japan one cruiser, three protected cruisers, tbrea torpedo gun-boats, and a dis- ' patoh vessel. The new Japanese fleet comprises throughout the very Utett and highest types of naval architecture in every respect of force, economy and efficiency. .
