Meeting of Creditors.

« . • A meeting of the creditors in the firm of H. Aldridge & Co., late flaxmillers, was held in Mr Elliott Cameron's office, Foxton, on Tuesday 18th. Mr P. Hennessy was voted to the chair. Mr B. Withers, a member of the firm, made a verbal statement as to the difficulties of the said firm and made an offer on behalf of the firm of«4s in the £, payable on the 29th January, 1898. It was proposed by Mr R. H. Barber and seconded by Mr A. R. Osborne that the offer of H. Aldridge & Co. be accepted. And after some discussion the proposal was carried. Liabilities — Messrs P. Hennessy & Co., £40 ; S. Howan, £21 ; R. H. Barber, £4 gs 6d ; A. R. Osborne, £z ; Walsh and Howan, £17 5s 6d ; A. S. Easton, £21 ; Joe Tos, 10s 6d ; J. Symons, £5; E. H&ve, £8. Total, £12 1 3s 6d. Assets, nil.
