Foxton Racing Club.

The Committee of the above Club met at the secretary's office en Tuesday night at 8 o'clock. present— Messrs Geo. Gray (chairman), W. Purcell, J. F. Overend, T. E. Wanklyn, W. B. Rhodes, W. Robinson, J. H. Robinson, J. H. Howan, and the secretary (J. R. Whyte.) . . L , . The secretary was instructed to write to the traffic manager regarding train arrangements for race days (22nd and 24th January, 1898.) It was also resolved that Messrs Liffeton and Nixon, of Wanganui.R instructed to sell the privileges by public auction on the 18th insfc. Some discussion arose as to the hone owners who are in arrears, and it waa decided that they be placed on the unpaid forfeit list. After some minor business had been transacted the meeting adjourned with a vote of thanks to the chair.
