Hypnotised in an Omnibus.
;-. , _-» I f - A very curious case of hypnotism occurred a short time ago in an omnibus on the Madeleine Bastille line.. The bus was full, with the ex eeption of one plaoe on the left hand ;beneb, when a well dressed man got •In and sat down on the vacant Beat. "Opposite to him was seated a fanhionsYbrj dressed young woman. Having Nothing to read the young man j*ii«d the time by " taking stock " in))}}) occupants of the vehicle, and ■mir eyes fell on the young woman, who not unnaturally, rivetted their attention for some timo. The lady blnghed, then grew pale, and then closed her eyes. The young man remained in his seat until the bus arrived at the Place de V Opera, where he got out. At the terminus of the route everyone, of course, got down, except the young lady, who edntinued to sit with closed eyes. ¥he conductor called to her that the Will of tne journey was reached, but buf the was apparently fast asleep HV went up and shook her,- but all his* efforts to awaken her were useless. It was necessary to call a doctor, who at the cost of some trouble managed to revive the lady from what he declared to be * oase of genuine hypnotism.
