Wool Sale.
The New Zealand Lone And Mercantile Agency Company, Limited held their second sale of the season on Thursday when we offered a catalogue of 1550 bales ont of a total of 4100 by the combined brokers. Of this quantity about 25 per cent, only passed to buyers under the hammer. Owners, however' recognising the position, reduced their reserves, and enable us to -quit a considerable quantity * privately at close of the sale. The top price paid at the sale was secured by us for a line of bright, well-grown crossbred, owned by Mr John Hooper, of South Karori. The parcel passed to a wellknown local operator at 7sd per lb. The following is a range of the prices secured, viz.: - Superior greasy orossbred, 7d to 7f d ; medium, 6d to 6fd ; inferior, 5d to 6fd ; bellies and pieces, 8 J to 4f d ; locks, IJdtoJM.
