General Lockhart's force will occupy the maidan, or parade-ground, of the Afridis at Tirah.

The casualties on the side of the expedition during the fighting against the tribesmen up to 28th October were— British, 247 killed and 848 wounded t natives, 870 killed and 605 wounded.
