The Employers'' Federation officially contradicts the statement that a conference is likely to be arranged with the Engineers' Society on the basis of the proposals submitted by the President of the Board of Trade.
The Executive Committee of the Employers' Federation have resolved that the conditions of the engineering and allied trade 3 do not admit of a reduction' of hours, also that they intend to secure absolute freedom in the management of their work?, and have declared that the intervention of third parties into the matters in dispute is useless.
