Fancy Dress Bail.
♦ The children's fancy dress ball organised by Mrs F. B. Young was held last night ad the Fozton Public Hall, and was a complete success itt way. The hall was thronged with dancers, and a great number of visitors were also present. Music was supplied by Miss Stansell. Mra Parker, Mrs J. Symona and Misa Cansley, and during the evening Mr Glkington, of Palnieraton North, *ang a comic song which amused he people very much, the same gentleman also contributing a recitauon entitled " Sister Mary's High Top Note." The children occupied the floor mtil about 10 o'clock, and were provided with refreshments. The idults then danced, and a most enjoyable affair ended a little after 1 o'clock. The following are some of the characters represented, and those who appeared in evening dress :— Leila Gray, Flower Girl ; Eileen fompsitt, Blue Bell ; A. Langdon, hospital nurse ; Bell Langdon, Red . Riding Hood ; Flo Stansell, French paasanf ; Ruby Stansell, fairy ; Edie Wright, Highland lassie ; May Stan* sell, shepherdess; Molly Rhodes, Folly; Aggie Walls, Ivy; Ethel Little, Ivy ; May Dunckley, Shamrock ; Connie Overend, school girl ; Bertha Dudson, flower girl ; Josephine Dudson, Fairy ; Bosie Dudson, poppie ; Mabel Dudson, Japanese tady ; J. Ahem, Snow ; Nora Har. nett, Foliy ; Mary Harnett, flower girl. Evening dress : Florence Dudson, Edia Dunckley, Edie Harris, Nelly llarrid, Sarah Harris, G. Hamer, May Collins, Marjory Bobinson, Ethel Collins and the Misses Stansell, Eistoa, Edwards, Collins, Spring, Tanaley, O'Brien (2), Purcell, Young (2), Synions, and Mrs Langdon. The boys' characters were Gay Rhodes, Jack the Giant Killer ; B. Langdon, Irish gentleman ; B. Wilson, Bailor boy ; W. Edwards, down ; V. Wright, Highlander, Boy Robinson, Dick Whittington ; E. Stansell, smuggler; P. Stan3ell, clown; A. Stansell, jockey, E. Dudson, sailor boy ; J. Harris, sailor boy ; Eric Gray, sailor.
