Messrs Abraham and Williams' Stock Report. At Palmerston on Thursday we bad but small entries of both sheep add cattle, bad weather stopping several lines from coming forward. There was considerably more animation in the market than we have . had for some weeks past, and we cleared everything with the excepcion of a pen of low conditioned ewes. Prime fatted ewea sold freely at rather improved prices. Store wethers were in short supply, and several buyers had to go away un* satisfied. We quote : — Sheep— Prime maiden ewes, 10s 9d ; others, 7s 8d to 93 ; ewes in lamb, 83 ; store ewes, 6j 6d ; 2 -tooth ' wethors, 8* to 10s 2d ; woolly lambs (small), 4s 7d ; shorn wether lambs (low condition), 4s 7d ; culls, 23 2d to 2* 6d. Cattle - Sherthorn weaners, 84a ; others 23<3 ; 18* month steers, 82s ; backward dairy cow 3, £3 7s 6d to £4 103. Pigs— Porkers, 153 to 16s.
