Not long Binoe an enterprising English farmer named Woolley *had the good fortune to purchase a mountain of beef in the shape of an enormous bullock, the price being £85. Since then Jumbo II — the bullock— has, made hundreds of pounds for his owner who shows the animal. Some 800,000 people have paid to see Jumbo 11. The animal was bred and fed by the late Mr Hugh Alymer, of West Dereham, Norfold. He now stands 6ft Bin high at chine and 6ft 4in at hips. He is nearly five years old, and when last N weighed was 1 ton 8 cwt. He measures from nose to tail 15ft 6in, and is 10ft 6in round the girth. An English paper says during the Jubilee festivities upwards- of 700 extra waiters will be employed at Buckingham Palace. There is very little doubt that London will be seriously overstocked with surplus labour during the week, as a great mtfny more waiters and hotel servants are flocking to London than it will be possible to employ.
