Football.
The annual general meeting of the Foxton Football Club was held at the Manawatu Hotel on Friday evening, Mr F. Eure in the ohair. About 23 members were present. The minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed. The report and balance sheet was read and adopted. The Club decided to keep to the Union, and Mr B. Young was appointed delegate. The opening of the season to be opened on Saturday, March 27th, with a scratch match Captain v. Vics-captain.- The following officers were elected : — Patron John Stevens, M.H E. ; President. A. E. Nixon ; Vice-presi-dent, His Worship the Mayor, W. Stewart, J McLennan, 0. Callis, W. Robinson, J. Curamerfield, C. Harrison, B. Gower, J. Whyte, W. B. Rhodes ; Capiain, J. Desmond ; Vioecaptain, B. Young; {Secretary, J. Armstrong; Treasurer, 0. A. Harrison ; Committee, C. Robin3on, Shadbolt,.Liddle, Wilkinson, Overend ; Selection Committee, C Robinson, the Captain, and C. A. Harrison. A vote of thanks to the chair and outgoing officers terminated a successful meeting.
