Fasting Man goes Mad.
\ Suooi, the Italian fasting man, has gone suddenly mad in Paris. For some days past he has been on view at one of the music halls, where he was engaged on a 40 days' faat. After the hall closed he pro deqded home to his lodgings, but he had barely entered the house before he seized a stick, and, shouting out at the top of his voice, started breaking everything in the room. The terrified landlord hurried off for assistance, and came back with two policemen. Succi threw an empty champagne bottle at the heads of the latter, \but after a desperate struggle he was seized and bound, and then eonveyeM to the police station in the basemebt of the Opera. He yelled out Italian songs all the way to the station, to the great delight of a crowd of several hundred people who followed behind. Inside the station he imperatively demanded food, but refused 4o drink gome wine offered him. Then he had another wild fit, and had'; to be tightly bound once more. To a policeman who spoke Italian he related a long story, which his auditor failed to understand. He'was taken to the Depot Infirmary. ~\
