Flax Expert.
In his speech at the Opera Hou?e, Wellington, the Premier, in answer ■to a question on the flax industry, said : — " I recognise the great im portance of supporting the flax in* dustry, as it gives more employment to labour than any other trade. The Government had already given £250 conditionally, and as the flaxmillers and others interested had subscribed towards the mission, an ozpart would at once be sent Home, and as Mr Holmes is considered the best man for the position he had no doubt that he would be seleoted by the Government*"
