LIBERTY v. PROHIBITION.
TO THE KUITOK OP THE MANAWATU HERALD. Sir, — I beg to return my sincere thanks for the attendance and patient atid respectful hearing at tbe Lecture 1 had the honor of delivering on Wednesday evening, Dec. 2, on the above subject and am happy and proud to think that my litt'e yarns bad the advantage of being amusing as well as enlightening the ladies and gentlemen present, and I believe caused the electors to roll up and vote as I requested them to, whether they voted for liberty or prohibition it would be a good test of the feeling in the district, with the result that liberty triumphed as I hope it always may.
